Ben's birthday

We rang in Ben's first birthday on Sunday with a GREAT birthday party (even a bouncy house) at his grandparents' house. (Where was Abbie in these pics???!!! I think she was in the bouncy house :) Griffin LOVED the giant ball party favors and Schuyler loved the Ice Cream Smuggler cakes. And what good sports to keep those party hats on the whole time!

Doxie Day

We took the kids to Chapin Beach in Dennis for 'Doxie Day' last weekend. We got there late (typical) but still saw lots of dachshunds (albeit took no pictures of them, not even the adorable standard JP Morgan...who won 'longest dog').

Chapin was beautiful, with big, tall dunes that Schuyler loved to race up and down. Griff was still nursing a cold but also managed to enjoy the day.

Meet and Greet for Wes and Jill

Too much work = no updating the blog!!!

In any case, it's been a good month despite all the work. I can't wait for October to get here though. We had a recent fun-filled weekend in Maryland to celebrate Wes and Jill's marriage.

Jill's mom made these really cool scrabble boards for Wes and Jill, one for each of them. This is the one she did for Wes. I told Rich I want one for Christmas! :)

I took a shot of Griff on Friday night that reminded me so much of Schuyler at the same age. I cannot believe S was ever so small...

Anniversary

We celebrated SIX years of marriage on Sunday. So many good memories of that day. CP and Pop Pop graciously gave us a break from parenthood and we got out for dinner and drinks. CP snapped some family shots before we left. Rare to get a picture of all four of us...

Late Summer

I can't believe it's already September. August went by so quickly, and summer is starting to wind down, with cooler nights and shorter days. Work is getting busier with back-to-school upon us and while I'm working a lot, we're all managing to enjoy the beautiful weather with a lot of boating time and beaching, too.

Rich has a new toy - the Bristol Skiff. It's been fun to trailer the boat and have flexibility to be in different areas. We did Barnstable Harbor, then kept it at the lake for about a week, and now it's at HYC. It's very different from the sailboat and a very nice contrast to have a new perspective on the water. Motor boating! Now the boat needs a name...

Scot and Wendy spent a week on the Cape for their summer vacation. We were happy to see them quite a few times, including a fun dinner at CP and Pop Pop's, and some boating on Avanti. I somehow managed not to take many pictures, but did snap a few during the Avanti ride.
