Centerville Playground

Friday night found us at the Centerville Playground with the Webbs, minus Sam (working) and Charlie (sleeping). It took all my willpower to keep away from Craigville Sub and Pizza, which is where I love to end up after Friday night playground playdates in Centerville. Schuyler BEGGED to go to the candy store but we did not cave in :)

The girls are getting so grown up and independent. The days of shadowing them all across the playground are definitely over.

Meeting Callin

We had the pleasure of meeting the new son of friends Annie and Rich over the weekend. Callin James Noonan was born on St. Patrick's Day, three weeks early (just like Schuyler!), and he is the cutest little guy.

Big sisters Zoe and Schuyler had fun playing with their own babies. Here they are stealing the baby buckets from their brothers so the 'pretend babies' could go for a ride...

Pacifier twins! And finally, a baby smaller than Griffin! :)

Silly big sisters and sleepy little brothers.

A goodbye hug
Congrats to the Noonan Family. We can't wait to spend more time with Zoe and Callin this summer!

New Stroller

We finally broke down and purchased a double stroller. The variety of choices is a bit daunting but we ended up going with the Phil & Teds, as it features the tandem rear seat and is quite narrow, which is key for walking along 6A. I was worried that Griffin was too young for the rear seat, but his head control is so good, he is fine in it. Schuyler seems to like it and so far isn't refusing to ride! We did a trip to the BWB playground on Saturday and everyone seemed happy...

Weekend visitors and visiting

We had a busy weekend. It started off with a mexican fiesta dinner at our house (starring Rich's awesome enchiladas). The Webbs and Brookes joined us. It was the first time that Avery and Charlie, who share the same birthdate (practically to the minute!) were able to get together.

The girls dress up and take care of their babies.

Next day was dinner at CP & Pop Pop's house; both Nick and Sam were home from school and it was good to all be together.

Gee even popped in for a quick visit.

Chef Schuyler

Schuyler loves to help, and the kitchen is no exception. We made fruit salad (aka 'fruit salsa') the other day. It's part of an effort to eat more fruits and veggies in general. Schuyler used to have such an open mind with food but lately she's wanted either pizza, macaroni and cheese, or grilled cheese (guess she inherited my taste in food). Or, of course, she'll gladly eat some 'sweet stuff'. LOVES ice cream, cookies, chocolate, lollipops...pretty much anything packed with sugar. But she will do melon, berries, oranges, and other fruits, too. My new strategy is to get her excited about healthy food via preparing it. We'll see how it goes...she may still prefer pizza, but perhaps she'll start requesting things like fruit salsa instead...

Griffin and Charlie

Schuyler has been so lucky to have such a good friend in Sophia. They adore each other and have developed a close relationship. In fact, I think Sophia was pretty much Schuyler's very first friend. I hope the same thing happens with Griffin and Sophia's new baby brother, Charlie. I think they like each other already! We spent some time with Sam, Charlie, and Sophia yesterday. Schuyler and Sophia were busy 'camping' in the Rose Petal Cottage and playing dress-up. Charlie and Griffin meanwhile chilled out on the couch.

I think both boys are clones of their fathers...
