Winter Drive on Sandy Neck

We're still playing the baby waiting game! To pass the time, we took a nice drive onto Sandy Neck on Saturday with the girls. The bumpy off road adventure did not push me into labor, however...

McMahon girls hanging out the window.
Couldn't be much cuter...
Here I am, glad to be doing an activity that requires no walking and no energy!
The beach was so empty, it was a nice contrast to the craziness of the summertime on Sandy Neck.
Schuyler and Rich, who is currently the favorite parent. She likes for him to 'do everything' (her words 'Daddy Can Do Everything' or 'I want Daddy to Do Everything') - read stories, help her get ready for bed, play with her. I love it!!!

Catching up

It's been a crazy week...we're still on baby watch...he could be here any time! Due date is Jan 23rd but Schuyler was early...so we are prepared for anything. Last week we were all terribly sick. Nightmares of going into labor on no sleep and feeling awful. Luckily that possibility seems to have passed, thanks to antibiotics. Schuyler is feeling better too, and Rich seems to be weathering it better than we did. So hopefully there will be no more sick drama before baby boy McMahon shows up.

In the meantime, I attended Sarah's baby shower -- pregnancy definitely agrees with her! she looks fantastic and is due next month -- and Schuyler started her first formal dance class at Dance Designs in Hyannis (Creative Movement for 3s). Her pink tutu is so cute I can barely handle it. She loved the class.

Sickies hanging out on the couch.
Here I am, bring on the baby!
At Sarah's shower. It's going to be fun having baby cousins so close in age.
The little ballerina. Nice rain boots!

Christmas and birthdays

We rang in the Christmas 2007 season with lots and lots of activity - so much that I didn't get to take many pictures. But here are a few highlights (albeit totally out of order).

Christmas morning 2007.
Lots of presents from Santa. And a brand new big-girl nightgown.

Pepper hides her new bone in the firewood box.

Fast forward to Uncle Nick's 20th birthday party. Playdough mustaches are lots of fun!

Schuyler doing the souljah boy dance - Sam taught her how to 'crank it'!

These are very out of order...Schuyler was an angel at the St. Mary's Christmas pageant. She was too cute and did such a good job. I, on the other hand, look somewhat like a tomato with my huge pregnant belly.
Our little angel waiting for her big moment on stage. I have the whole thing on video. Her dance was to 'Mary Did you Know' and featured some very advanced choreography for a 3 year old! She starts dance next week so she'll have even more time to perfect her moves...
Wes and Jill joined us for Christmas this year, which we hope is the start of a new tradition. Here's a full family picture over at Gram's.
Schuyler in the Avanti at Grandpa's shop party just before Christmas. She took people for rides to Bermuda and out for ice cream...she LOVES Grandpa's car.
Behind the wheel! Watch out!
More Nick's party. Schuyler, CP, and the meat plate.
Nick's birthday cake. He's off on Mass Maritime's Sea Term and will be going through the Panama Canal. We hope to tour the ship before he leaves this weekend.

We also had a pre-holiday dinner visit at the Small's house. Baby Avery waves hello.
Baby Ben swings away. It was babies galore. How times have changed...
Baby Abbie and her present from Erika.
Schuyler and her very own Green Monster. Thanks, Erika!!!
Hanging with Avery.
Birthday girl Schuyler at her party on December 15th. So crazy I barely took any pics.
In her glamorous new gloves and sunglasses, and apron. Quite an ensemble.
And if Nick and Schuyler's birthdays weren't enough, Sam turned 18 on Dec 18th. Matt was home and it was great to have him!
