Barnstable Hollow Playground

I took Schuyler to the Barnstable Hollow Playground yesterday, behind the Unitarian Church. It is a great spot for toddlers, with a nice, new play structure, baby swings, sandbox, and toys to use. It's been awhile since I took her and it was really interesting to see how she interacts with the play environment now that she's bigger. She's much more autonomous and I don't have to worry about her falling like I used to. She's turning into a 'big kid'!

Goodbye winter

Winter showed itself one more time last week in the form of snow; hopefully it is gone for good now. Schuyler finally got the opportunity to try out her new snow pants, have a snowball fight, and build a snowman.

She also played the fun game of taking all the books out of her bookshelf and crawling onto the topshelf. And she's wearing her St. Patrick's Day green!

Finally, the bathroom construction continues. The floor is prepped for new tile, the toilet and sink are gone, and we're ready to go!

Melon

Schuyler is going through a big melon phase -- she can't get enough. Who would have thought that Pepper enjoyed melon just about as much...

Island Merchant - New Location

Bev and Joe reopened The Island Merchant last week. They are in a beautiful new space, a few doors down from Fazio's on Main Street. We had dinner there on Saturday night with Michael and Tara, Carter and Paul, and baby Abbie. It was great to catch up with everyone after being away last weekend, and we are very excited for the Dunns; we know they will have much success with their new space.
Michael on his baby grand piano -- which has a permanent home at the new Island Merchant. Groupie Schuyler pulled a pillow onto the floor to listen to him play.

Schuyler takes a rest in one of the booths.

Weekend Away

Rich and I took our first major trip WITHOUT Schuyler. We ventured to Tallahassee to celebrate Allie and John's wedding. It was a fantastic four days; the wedding couldn't have been more perfect. And Schuyler did wonderfully. I don't think she asked for us once. Big thanks to GJ, CP, Michael and Tara, and all the others who helped with her care while we were away. We are so lucky (and grateful) to have so many people we trust to take care of our little girl for us. It is interesting -- while we weren't gone for that long, Schuyler seems so much bigger (taller!), and so much more grown up. Time seems to be flying lately...
